"Sean is a remarkable drum teacher. He's the kind of teacher that guides your child to be the best they can be. He's so giving of his time, and always wants to make sure that you have everything you need. My daughter London has been taking drum lessons there for around three years now, and she still enjoys coming to her lessons. While in her band classes at school, she was often used to demonstrate different techniques she learned from Sean, she had the respect from the upper classmen in band. I would encourage anyone thinking of taking lessons to see Sean, he's truly the best, you won't be disappointed."

"Sean has been a true inspiration for my 10 year old son, Corey.  Sean is a very kind and patient drum teacher.  His love for the drums and his students shows in every lesson.  Parents & siblings are always welcome to sit in on the lessons.  I believe my son could "jam" all night with Mr. Sean.  I would highly recommend Sean as a teacher and would vote him #1 instructor."

"Sean has helped me develop good technique and sight reading which would have been impossible on my own in the amount of time he has taught me in. He shows a great interest in drums and developing a drumming persona. He is a great teacher at showing you how to do things and how to push them farther. I think my time at MIS with Sean has been money well spent and I'd recommend anyone else that is looking into playing drums to look him up."

"Sean was in my first band and still, so many years (and bands) later I think of him as one of the best drummers I have ever worked with, Here is why:

His skills - Sean has great meter and his playing is very tasteful.  He is perceptive and aware of the needs of the songs as well as the band and plays accordingly.  He is a creative drummer which helped in trouble-shooting cover songs that were not working as well as opening doors to new ideas for our original material.

His personality - Sean has patience.  He has a great attitude.  Very responsible and dependable.   We rehearsed a lot back then in what was the first band for many of us.  He was able to remain cool, kind, positive and supportive.  He is a true team player.

I would recommend him without question as a valuable addition to any musical organization or avenue he would choose to pursue."

"Sean was my first drum instructor, and I believe that I was his first drum student.  I was 7 years old in 1979 when I began taking lessons from him. I began playing the drums in church for my dad who was the pastor, but all I had going for me was that I could keep time with my kick drum and snare, and do a few drum rolls here and there for filling in.  Sean patiently taught me how to coordinate my hands so that I could use the kick drum, snare, and hi-hat at the same time!  I remember crying being frustrated with my inability to grasp the technique, but Sean worked with me to help me be able to play."

"He was very sacrificial with his time.  I remember him giving me sheets of drum rudiments for me to practice during the week and then going to the fire station where he worked and bringing my drumsticks with me to play on a rubber practice pad so that he could help me refine the rudiments he had shown me.  He gave me a set of tapes called “Drum Drops” to listen to and practice, and then helped me play what I was listening to and help me with my stick work.  He stayed after church to work with me on my drum set and teach me how to tune them and set them up properly.  During his lessons, he was more interested in coming down to my level and walking me through the instruction rather than just showing me what he knew and hoping I would catch on.  He interpreted “drums” to a level that a 7 year-old could understand."

"While it is hard to remember everything Sean taught me, I will never forget how he took the time to share his skill in helping a 7 year-old boy to cultivate his talent for drum playing when I’m sure he had other things that he could have been doing.  Because of his investment, I now have a talent that I am able to use for the rest of my life, and I was given a skill set on which to further build my drumming abilities upon.  Sean in a word—patient."

"Sean Cloud is an excellent percussion instructor. Mr. Cloud taught my daughter to play the drums. She had no prior experience with a drum set until she received one for Christmas two years ago and immediately began taking lessons from Mr. Cloud. Sean is a very patient, understanding, and accomplished instructor. His techniques are innovative and motivational. My daughter learned much from him and thoroughly enjoyed the process. I highly recommend him!"

"I have known Sean Cloud for many years, and I’ve played with him in both a rock band and a Christian contemporary band.  He is an excellent drummer. No matter what style of music we play, Sean has been able to come up with the correct drum part for the song................"

"It has always been a pleasure to play with Sean because he is such an accomplished musician."

"Sean is a very talented musician and an accomplished drummer with the Mid-Life Crisis band.  As a fellow band member, I have known him for over a year and consider his ability as a drummer to be very skilled in providing both rhythm and style to the drum lines for the band's collection of songs.  He has a musical background that he draws from that lends to his ability to play any type of song."

"In addition to his musical skills, Sean is very personable and has very good communication skills. It is my opinion that in a teaching environment, he would promote the best in each student and pick up on their individual abilities and talents.  I would highly recommend Sean for any educational program and feel he would contribute to its success."

"I first met Sean Cloud as a co-worker. I later learned of his drumming talents when I was looking for a band to back me for a show. Sean has always been one to stay on track and professional................."

"Sean's passion for playing and playing WELL is obvious every time he picks up his sticks. Sean Cloud would be the ONLY person I would want my children to learn from. His dedication, professionalism, and radiant sense of humor are things we could all learn from!"
